Casting “Becoming Her”
We are looking for female models aged 18-24 to participate in a documentary-style photography project exploring the realities of young women living in the 2020’s. The project will delve into themes of sexuality, medication, beauty and fashion, social media, relationships, and mental health. This is an opportunity to be part of an authentic, raw, and thought-provoking series that captures personal stories and everyday experiences.
This project is a documentary-style photography series that seeks to capture the lived experiences of young women in the 2020s. Through intimate, candid imagery and personal narratives, the series will explore themes of sexuality, medication, beauty and fashion, social media, relationships, and mental health. By highlighting the complexities and nuances of modern womanhood, the project aims to create a visual and emotional dialogue that resonates with both participants and audiences alike.
Approach:
Candid, documentary-style photography
Emphasis on real-life moments, emotions, and personal narratives
Some images may incorporate elements of nudity (with full consent and professionalism)
Optional written statements from models to accompany selected images
Requirements:
Must be between the ages of 18-24
Comfortable sharing personal experiences related to the themes of the project
Open to discussing and potentially participating in tasteful artistic nudity (if applicable, with prior agreement)
No prior modeling experience required—authenticity is key
Compensation: R1800 - R9000 subject to SHOOT scope.
